What is Involved?

A quick and professional in-home consultation performed by a certified Residential Energy Professional. When applicable this assessment will include:

  • Consultative Walk-Through Assessment
  • EnWise Savings Calculator - REP can use this assessment tool to demonstrate potential energy, financial and greenhouse gas savings if recommended upgrades were completed
  • Product and Service Proposal - customized price quotes including applicable government grant dollars and affordable financing options 

Note: Upon making a purchase – an Energy Auditor must perform a 'D' Pre-Retrofit ecoEnergy Evaluation prior to any installations and an 'E' Post-Retrofit Evaluation within 18 months of the initial evaluation (or March 31, 2011, whichever comes first) to ensure eligibility for grant money.

What is Involved?

A 2-3 hour in-home Evaluation performed by a certified Energy Advisor including:
  • Blower Door Test – demonstrates air leakage and provides air exchange rate of your home
  • Consultative Walk-Through Assessment
  • Producing the ecoEnergy Evaluation Report for government grant eligibility including a summary of recommended energy retrofits for your home
  • EnWise will facilitate all necessary paperwork and documentation on your behalf

How do I Access the Grant Money?

Two (2) visits are required to qualify for government grants; a 'D' Pre-Retrofit Evaluation before you have any work done and an 'E' Post-Retrofit Evaluation conducted within 18 months of the initial evaluation (or March 31, 2011, whichever comes first).

  • 'D' Pre-Retrofit Evaluation - $325 (plus GST)
  •      ($150 is rebated by the provincial government so net cost is $175)

  • 'E' Post-Retrofit Evaluation -  $175 (Plus GST)
  • 'F' Post-Retrofit Evaluaion
    (allowed to re-open file for further upgrades) - $175 (Plus GST)
